Welcome to Prem-Talk where we talk about what's happening in the English Premier League after every matchday.
As It Stands:
By matchday 5 the blue giants, Manchester City lead the table with 15 points. Tottenham, Liverpool, and Arsenal are close behind, with 13 points each. Further down the table, a disappointing start to the season for Newcastle (11th), Manchester United (13th) and Chelsea (14th) with 6 points for Newcastle and Man Utd, and 5 points for Chelsea.
Looking Forward:
For Matchday 6, the fixture that catches my eye is Arsenal versus Tottenham, The North London Derby. Both teams are equal on points, but Tottenham has a better goal difference. It’ll be interesting to see which team comes out on top. Liverpool against West Ham also looks like an interesting match-up as both teams are doing well so far during the season.
Transfer News:
Transfer News:
There will be no more transfers because the transfer deadline day was on September 1st. Chelsea spent 434.5 million on just this transfer window, which means they have spent 1.2 billion in total since Todd Boehly became owner which was only 469 days ago. Hopefully, they will do better than last season.
