So a couple of things have changed since the last time I wrote.
One of the things is that Bronny, the son of Lebron James, has been removed from the 2024 mock draft. This means that Bronny is predicted to go undrafted in the next draft. Bronny got a lot of negative comments on the issue to which Lebron responded, “Can y'all please just let the kid be a kid and enjoy college basketball." The King elaborate on X, "The work and results will ultimately do the talking no matter what he decides to do. If y’all don’t know he doesn’t care what a mock draft says, he just WORKS! Earned Not Given!”
If you ask for my opinion on the matter, it doesn't matter what the mock draft says, Bronny is going to get selected because teams will want Lebron on their side. I think that the Lakers will end up choosing him just so Lebron will extend his contract. While Bronny isn’t having the best start to a season, he is now playing at USC averaging 5.5 points per game on terrible efficiency. You have to remember that most of the time he is playing point guard, which is the hardest position to learn, and I am sure that he will be back to his A-game after a short adjustment once he gets to the NBA.
Something else that happened this week was a fight breaking out in the 4th quarter in the Heat vs Pelicans game. The fight occurred once Zion Williamson went up for a lay up and a Heat player fouled him. Naji Marshall ran to confront the Heat player because he thought that the foul was too hard. Jimmy Butler tried to stop him but before you know it, Naji was choking Jimmy Butler and a huge fight broke out. In the end, four players were suspended, two from the Pelicans and two from the Heat, including Heat star Jimmy Butler.
Now for the play of the week, this is honestly one of the craziest buzzer beaters I have ever seen!
