It is the end of the school year which means that we will soon have to say goodbye to a few of our favorite teachers. This year, 17 middle school teachers are leaving and over the next 15 school days, The Direct Message will post an ‘Exit Interview’ that we conducted with each of these educators.

What will you miss most about AES?
I will miss the students most because they make the teaching a lot fun.
What is the best part about being a teacher at AES?
The best part of being at AES is having the freedom to create a really fun learning environment with really amazing students.
What are your plans for next year and what are your thoughts about this next step?
Next year I will teaching or in graduate school. And I’m exiting about next step or nest adventure.
How do you hope your students and colleagues will remember you?
I hope my colleagues will remember me as someone who enjoyed teaching students and working with my colleagues. Also I hope students will remember the fun that we had.
What message would you like to leave for the community at AES?
I’m taking away a lot of really special memories, I feel I’m really really lucky to have taught at this school, work with the really amazing group of faculty and a really diversions special groups.

He has a sense of humor and isn’t super strict. I think these are things that make him unique.

I will remember that he is funny and teaches us with smiles.
What is a funny or memorable story that you have about Mr. Cook?
When we were done with our work, he and some group of girls were trying to speak in a British accent, and it was really funny.

Having so much freedom and being funny makes Mr. Cook unique.
